Jim Corbett National Park sits in the foothills of the Himalayas in northern India, famous for its Bengal tigers and being India's oldest national park. The climate is hot and humid from March to June (up to 100°F/38°C), making it a tough time for safaris, but the winter months from November to February bring cool, dry weather (around 50°F/10°C) perfect for jeep safaris and elephant rides through the dense sal forests. If you visit during the summer, you can still spot wildlife near waterholes, while the monsoon from July to October closes most zones but offers lush green landscapes and cheaper stays.
