Hotels in Bukk, Hungary
Bükk is a mountainous region in northern Hungary, famous for its limestone caves, such as the István-lápa Cave with 30-foot stalactites, and the largest beech forest in the country. The climate has cold winters (often below 32°F / 0°C) perfect for snowshoeing through the Bükk National Park's trails, and mild summers (around 77°F / 25°C) great for exploring the Szalajka Valley's cave dwellings from the 12th century. If you come in spring, hike to the Lillafüred Waterfall - but winter offers cheaper lodging and fewer crowds.
